Flapper Valve Services Overview
Stamped Precision Meets Complete Valve Integration
Our flapper valve manufacturing combines high-speed precision stamping, in-house deburring, surface finishing, and stress relieving. We produce the spring-tempered flappers, valve backer plates, seats, retainers, and mounting frames that determine how a valve seals, flexes, and lasts — then integrate them with elastomer seals, springs, and fasteners into complete, tested assemblies through our kitting and assembly division.

Core Technical Specifications:
- Material types: SS716, 7C27Mo2, 20C, Hiflex™, Flap-X™, Freeflex Core™, Freeflex Versa™
- Material thickness: .003” to .025” thick
- Flatness control: to 0.001″ across the sealing face for leak-free seating
- Edge condition: deburred and radiused to eliminate stress risers and improve fatigue life
- Production volume: prototype runs to 5,000,000+ units annually
- Valve formats: reed/flapper plates, hinged flappers, backdraft dampers, duckbill and disc retainers
- Assembly: elastomer overmold coordination, riveted/welded hinges, spring and fastener integration
Flapper valve components are produced on our 30+ state of the art servo and mechanical stamping presses, with fastener integration through our WorldSource division (10,000+ SKUs in stock), and resistance, MIG, TIG, and laser welding cells for hinged and framed assemblies — ensuring consistent seal geometry and function without supplier coordination.

Why Choose Wisconsin Stamping for Flapper Valves
Unmatched Manufacturing Integration
Unlike shops that stamp a part and ship it elsewhere for finishing and assembly, we control every step — tooling, stamping, forming, heat treat, finishing, and final test. That vertical integration means consistent seal geometry, faster delivery, and single-source accountability competitors simply cannot match.
Certifications & Compliance
- ISO 9001:2015 certified since 2001 (25+ years)
- AIAG-compliant PPAP Levels 1-5 capability
- RoHS and REACH compliant processes; IMDS reporting

Frequently Asked Questions
Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing – Your idea. Our ingenuity. A perfect match.
Sealing performance comes down to flatness, edge condition, and raw material selection. We partner with the world’s premier European valve steel manufacturers ensuring years of repeatable, trouble-free valve performance. In addition, our decades of flapper and reed valve manufacturing experience allows us to hold best in the industry flatness tolerances from first piece to last piece. Our proprietary deburring and stress relieving produces consistent edge conditions, minimizing stresses which can result in premature valve failure. The result is repeatable cracking pressure performance and leak-free seating over the full service life.
Yes. We stamp and form the metal components in-house and integrate elastomer seals, valve backers, vale seats, springs, retainers, and fasteners through our kitting and assembly division — delivering tested, ready-to-install valves rather than loose parts you have to assemble or coordinate across vendors.
Common choices include various spring steels, 301/302 and 17-7 PH stainless, SS716, 7C27Mo2, 20C, Hiflex™, Flap-X™, Freeflex Core™, Freeflex Versa™ in thicknesses from 0.003″ to 0.250″. Our engineering team provides complimentary material selection input to balance corrosion resistance, sealing force, and fatigue life for your operating environment.
We scale from prototype quantities to 5,000,000+ units annually. Blanket-order and JIT release programs eliminate lead-time concerns and ensure inventory is available when your line needs it.
