Manufacturing Positions at WSM

Our capabilities are constantly expanding and currently include roles in metal stamping, laser cutting, press brake forming, tubular stamping, CNC and Swiss machining, wire forming, thread rolling, welding, and integrated assemblies. Our modern facility includes a complete in-house tool and die department and fastener distributorship. We’re always ready to talk with talented individuals, even if we’re not hiring for a specific position at the moment.

Introduce Yourself

Machining metal is a must
Ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids
Experience performing daily machine startup and shutdown procedures, setup, program, operate and troubleshoot
Hass/Fanuc control
Perform some machine alignment procedures and machine zero home procedures
Understand, interpret and edit G-code programs at the machine

Experience with CNC and manual wire forming equipment
Experience with AIM wire formers and Fanuc controls

Set-up, operate, and adjust 2 ton to 200 ton metal stamping presses
Select the correct tooling for the job task with set-up documents
Ability to troubleshoot metal forming problems

Set-up, operate, and adjust brake presses up to 350 Tons
Understand how to select the correct tooling for the job task with set-up documents
Ability to troubleshoot metal forming problems

Set-up and operation experience on multiple brands of lasers, including Amada
Competent at basic dimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools
Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids

Ability to set-up jobs from detailed drawings
Experience in fabrication/welding (MIG and/or TIG) in a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum
Competent at dimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools

Experience running Panasonic TA series MIG welding robot or equivalent
Competent at basic dimensional measuring and precision measurement

Tool room experience: stamping tooling, dies, jigs and CNC fixture design
Solidworks experience. Logopress and/or Mastercam a plus
CNC programming and operating experience
Competent at dimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, gage blocks, micrometers and dial calipers

Knowledge of measuring tools such as, but not limited to: tape measures, micrometers, calipers, height gage, bore gages, and optical comparameters
CMM and layout experience desired
Background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) and an understanding of ISO 9001

Experience in processing shipments and receiving protocol
Scheduling, loading, unloading trucks
Experience in inventory, preservation, kitting/assembly
